New Life Church DNA

This resource offers a practical framework for church leaders who want to clarify, communicate, or reevaluate the “DNA” of their own local church. Built around a four-week course model, it walks through key components that shape a church’s identity—its mission, values, theological foundations, leadership structure, and expectations of those who call the church home. Rather than prescribing a specific model, the material helps leaders reflect on why their church exists, how it functions, and what kind of disciples it hopes to form.

The course explores elements such as the church’s story, its statement of faith, the roles of elders and deacons, partnership with outside ministries or networks, and the practices that sustain spiritual health and community life. It also provides language for discussing membership, belonging, serving, stewardship, and the shared responsibilities of leaders and congregants.

For churches looking to strengthen clarity, align their teams, or create an onboarding pathway for new people, this resource can serve as both a template and a conversation starter. It invites leaders to define what makes their church unique, articulate their culture, and design a discipleship pathway that reflects their convictions and mission.
